Bruno Vision Care LLC received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to sell its Deseyne (vifilcon C) daily disposable contact lens in the United States, according to a press release. The Deseyne lenses integrate 2 patented characteristics: (1) an enriched hydrogel material, and (2) the FusionTechnology delivery system., which delivers amino acids, vitamins, and polysaccharides gradually from the contact lens to the anterior segment of the eye. 

CooperVision Achieves Milestone Via Sustainability Partnership
CooperVision and Plastic Bank’s net plastic neutrality initiative has enabled eye care professionals and contact lens wearers to prevent the equivalent of more than half a billion plastic bottles from entering the world’s oceans, according to a press release. In partnership with Plastic Bank, CooperVision funds the collection and recycling of ocean-bound plastic equivalent to the weight of plastic used across a range of its participating soft contact lenses, including the lens, blister and packaging components, sold and distributed across 34 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
