The American Optometric Association (AOA) and the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) have announced that registration is open for Optometry’s Meeting and AOA+, scheduled for June 17-20 in Phoenix.
The annual event brings together optometrists, paraoptometric staff, optometry students, and industry professionals for continuing education, professional development, and networking. Programming includes clinical education sessions, leadership development opportunities, and an exhibit hall featuring products and services for eyecare practices.
Organizers report that the 2026 meeting will offer more than 300 hours of continuing education, including hands-on workshops and courses focused on clinical care, technology, and practice management. Educational programming will be delivered by more than 125 speakers and will include sessions in the Education Theater, which will feature a dozen new courses this year.
The conference also includes a series of special events. The opening session, titled the AOA Experience, is scheduled for June 17 and will be followed by a reception in the exhibit area. The Innovation Hub, running June 16-17, will highlight developments in clinical care, technology, and business practices. The meeting will conclude with the Celebration of Optometry on June 19, a ticketed closing event, and the AOA Foundation 5K, which supports the foundation’s programs and initiatives.
AOA+ programming will run concurrently with Optometry’s Meeting and is designed to support early-career optometrists and students through leadership development, advocacy education, and networking opportunities. Travel grants for AOA+ participants are available, with eligibility tied to registration for the meeting.
Registration is open to both AOA members and nonmembers, with discounted rates available through March 31. An AOA profile is required to register. Additional information, including the full education schedule, is available here.
