ABB Optical Group has announced in a press release the launch of Beyond the Lens, a 4-part, no-cost educational webinar series aimed at helping eyecare professionals strengthen and expand their specialty lens practices in 2026. According to the company, the initiative is designed to address ongoing challenges in optometric practice, including revenue loss associated with billing and coding errors, as well as the need for advanced expertise in specialty lens modalities. Each session is structured as a 60-minute program that integrates practical business guidance with clinical instruction intended for immediate application to build sustainable specialty practices.

The webinar series begins April 22, 2026, with a session titled Smart Strategies for Billing, Coding and Patient Retention, presented by Loren M. Beek, OD, of Discover Vision Practice. The session will focus on improving reimbursement processes, reducing claim denials, increasing revenue capture, and enhancing patient loyalty.

Three additional sessions are scheduled throughout the year:

• May 26 — Mastering Irregular Astigmatism, presented by Mile Brujic, OD, FAAO, will address modality selection between scleral and custom soft lenses.

• August 26 — Unlocking Ortho-K Success, presented by Jackson Lau, OD, FAAO, FSLS, will focus on optimizing the orthokeratology fitting process.

• October 28 — Refining Visual Precision, presented by Jason Jedlicka, OD, FAAO, will cover advanced approaches to multifocal and higher-order aberration optics.

All sessions will be held at 8 PM ET and are open to eyecare professionals. Participants may register for individual sessions or the full series. Registrants can submit questions during the live presentations and will receive access to recorded sessions.OM
